THE FIRST PLACE YOU VISITED IN SECOND LIFE?

Hi again everyone!

I have again read Shauna Vella's blog where she asks:

When you started Second Life, where was the first place you went?

I don't mean where Linden Lab put you, but the first place you actually chose to go on your own?

Where was it, and how did you get to it? What was it like, and did you stay there?

and like last time i figured i wanted to give my answer ;-)

I think as i remember the first place i whent with my real life friend who got me to join 

second life ,we whent to Copenhagen Denmark and explored there, my friend Rasmus 

didnt hangout in the game too long because i don't think he is as good to english like me. 

I then saw the news channel in the television and saw they interviewed a danish girl who 

used it too Imagoel Best, so i think i searched or maybe talked with her what she was doing

 there, she owned a sim where there was shops, and those dance pads where you could earn 

lindens ( yes i did that) lol ,  she also had a club that was called DNK ( Danish Night Club ) 

it was here i got my first job as a dancer, even tho i i wasent good at it. I also whent to two 

other clubs that was full of danish people i talked with but i dont remember the names of t

he places. Here is a picture of me from back then, i am the one to the right haha.

Then second life died a bit for me because Imagoel closed her sim, but she later on opened 

a new one where i meet my first sl partner and my sl uncle who i am still friends with today.

The club was called Sexolicious and i worked there too as a dancer. 

I think it was also here i meet Brain??

I am glad i meet Shawshank it's because of him i know Babette Upshaw :)

I been going many other places too, Like Sinners n saints nightclub owned by Georgia Beorn, 

DP Rock Club and now its my own sim Oasis Escape Beach , The Hangout, Muskers, and Zorros!

Has Second Life Helped You?

Hi Everybody!

I read Shauna Vella blog today with the title "Has Second Life helped you" 
and wanted to give my answer too. So here we go:

Question: Many people claim Second Life has been beneficial 

to their mental and emotional well being. Has it helped you?

My answer: Yes it has in many ways, like i started to use second life,

because i have always enjoyed english, but im danish so we don't talk

or write english so often so thats a reason i joined SL to keep my english.

I also i guess as many others used sl for while to escape real life 

when things was bad , we all got problems in real life right? ;)

- a down side here has been i couldnt escape from second life i 

used soo much time that people in my real life complained about it, 

so then i learned to take time out from the game and knew my 

friends inworld was always there when i came back online.

another downside with second life can be as Shauna also writes about

if you go negative places or surround yourself with negative people,

it will effect your mood as well in real life. 

So be with people , or  at places in second life that makes you happy,

and remember second life is just a game if your friends inworld 

is true friends they will be there when you log back on 

so dont run away from real life.

I myself only go to places to hangout with my friends i hope to meet

real life one day, im even going meet my second life partner this year!

I use second life to meet people from all over the world and to learn things

from them. I opened my "ears" for music i dont think i would ever have 

listned too if it havent been for second life.

I guess i could go on and on with this lmao ! Anyways

• DJ - I never been a DJ in real life, so this is something i learned in Second Life. 
• English - My english was bad before i got in Second Life, so SL been helping me to communicate in english with my friends from all over the world, and i'm happy with that. For those who don't know, i'm from Denmark so English isent my first language. 
• Blogging – I never been blogging for my real life, because i wouldn't know what to blog about so i find it funny to do it in my Second Life. 
• Outgoing – In Second Life i'm a more outgoing person than i am in real life. In real life im really shy. In Second life i say things i wouldn't do real life, but i'm still me, just a bit more open.. I kinda wish i was that real life sometimes like wulla is. 
• My music taste - My music taste has changed a lot since i been clubbing and a DJ in SL, i used to be a pop chick, now i'm a rock girl and as my daddy Brain says ( Mrs. Metal ) lol  
• Clubbing – In Second life i like to go clubbing, thats something in real life i don't do too often :)

So those are some of the professional and personal things I’ve learned because of Second Life.

   I like slow dances so its the one from my video atm.
   But i also like most of the HUMANOID Dances.

• Do you usually read the TOS thoroughly before you hit accept?
  No I don't. Don't wanna get confused about the LL Tos.
  I only read them if its something i buy for RL use. Else no.
• How do you feel about the new LL TOS changes, from August 15th and section 2.3. ? 
  I don't find the tos friendly for creator's in SL
• Do the changes affect you directly?
  I don't think so much, since im not earning my living in SL. I only build my own club
  and home for own use and havent thought of sell them to anyone. Only way i guess it
  would effect me is on what i purchase if the creator's leaves SL. But how i don't really know.
• What do you think people should do about this new change?
  No idea really... guess do like Linden lap dont give a fuck? Im like you know internet &
  social medias can't be safe for you, you should have known this before buying a computer :P
  Only thing you can do is think about what it is you doing on the internet and take it from there.
• Are you or have you ever thought about leaving Second Life?
  I left second life once because of a stupid boy, i deleted my account and had a hell of trouble
  to get it back, tock me a week and had to send LL an email with my pas to get it open again.
  But nope never going have that thought of delete my account again. I have limited my time
  on sl because i dont think its the same anymore, only online for friends and family.

   Worst earliest SL memory: When my SL uncle left SL because of the reason" Linden Lap
   is deleting my things " and he also made my sl partner that time turn the back on me.

   And got me better at english .... still has my randomly wullanese though... :)

1. How did the two digital footprints  compare, and did that surprise you?

My real life name is actually a very common name so it comes up a lot more than my SL name..
my RL name "Louise" gave out 678.000 so a lot more than wulla :)

2. Does anyone interesting share your name? 
I share my name with a famous british glamour model named Louise Glover

3. Are you happy with the size of your digital footprint, 
or do you wish either one was larger/smaller? I

I'm happy with both my names and don't need them to be diffrence or have more than i do now.

If you woke up/ logged in one morning to discover over night you had 
suddenly gained rock-star status, and everybody knew who you were and 
wanted to know what you were doing… what would you do? 

I'm happy for the results I got from my goggle meme. I would not like a
rock-star status rl or sl so I guess I would continue as nothing happend
and live my rl and sl as i have always been and be myself :)

Welcome to my Monday Meme Challenge - Meet my friend challange.

For this challenge, I decided to interview Babette Upshaw , She is a dear friend and 
also my SL Mother. I have known Babette for like 3-4 years in SL now so she one my 
long time friends and im pretty sure that nothing can breake our friendship, we been 
dealing with a lot of things together but nothing has split us apart , and i cant be more thankfull for having Babette as a part of my SL family, this means a lot to me.

wulla Zabelin: lol well how long you been on sl? 
Babette Upshaw: 6 Years in SL

wulla Zabelin: woa 6 years so what you been spending your 6 years on in SL?
Babette Upshaw: I been doing photography and modeling and some creating 
of shapes and such , so yea Sl is more exciting then rl

wulla Zabelin: What do you do, to always making you look sexy?
Babette Upshaw: I just always look for the best skins there is and what I find is there some 
really good priced skins that wont break you .. Its takes a lot of work to look this good.... 

wulla Zabelin: whats keeping you loggin back into sl?beside what you do.
Babette Upshaw: you of course and my friends otherwise I really wouldnt be here.
Also awesome singers out there that otherwise I wouldnt get to hear or know about, 
you see because of SL I met so many great people.

wulla Zabelin: Being in sl, what has it  taught you?
Babette Upshaw: Trust. Who and who not to trust.
People can so easiley decieve you and why, cause you cant see 
the look in their eyes. Its easy to make up a life behind a computer.

wulla Zabelin: Is there anything you want to share about yourself? 
Something my readers might not know about you? 
Babette Upshaw: My real name is Angelina jolie  hahah LOL, Not much to tell really. I am who I am. 

wulla Zabelin: What are some of your favorite stores to shop at in Second Life?
Babette Upshaw: Noya, Liv, Glam, Mohna Lisa, Upshaw Creations and Tameless.

wulla Zabelin: Do you like shop inworld or marketplace?
Babette Upshaw: Marketplace. Can find what I look for faster.
I hate shopping unless there freebie and such then I go to the stores.

wulla Zabelin: So what do you think is the best thing about sl?
Babette Upshaw: meeting people that other wise you and I would  never 
have met, I know for sure cause I would  never been able to go to Denmark.

wulla Zabelin: Finally last question of the intervew,  You’ve been in SL for 6 years, 
that’s a long time. I’m sure you’ve made a lot of friends and also lost contact with some. 
Is there anyone you miss that you’ve lost touch with?
Babette Upshaw: The ones I dont keep in contact with are the ones I dont want 
in my life so its a good thing.  I wish I knew what happen to Blaze Bogbat.
