Flickr vs Primfeed!
I have both social media platforms for SL Promotions for my picture creations.
Flickr
Likes:
- Love that you can join group communitys + add your images to them.
- I like that you can save images (ADs) from stores and use them in SL if missing when you been buying a product in SL and it misses the AD in the folder + u can add it to show when hovering over it in your inventory.
- I like that you also can see/ and join group discussions on front page.
- The about session on your Flickr account is also nice, where u can write a lot + also display some showcase of your favorit images.
Dislikes:
- I hate that you cant have a basic account and still be able to see your gallery. You have to pay for this now. I was against paying for Flickr pro, but i have been that for a few months now and started to use Flickr more again.
- The audience from second life community has dropped a bit after they added you have to pay for Flickr.
Primfeed
Likes:
- I like you can choose maturity on the home page .. i like to turn off adult and adult+ images to show when i scroll down on image feed from people .. I have it also set to i only see images from people i follow but you can also choose to see non-friends pictures too, thats kinda cool too.
- Its also nice that you can take of commercials if u wish from stores as well and just wanna see images taken from friends/ or none friends depending on your setting.
- Its also nice you have the option to filter away AI images. Sometimes it can be a bit much with that specially on SL Facebook lately.
- You can use Primfeed free and not having issues with any limitet on adding pictures to your gallery, tho there are some limits for certain things where you can buy primfeed pro and get exclusive perks, but for my use of Primfeed this is not needed.
Dislikes:
- Some month ago i had issues that i got banned on primfeed for sharing club commercials, i was not aware of i was not allowed to add them in public gallery but had to flag them as commercial content.
- There are limit on how many commercial pictures you can add as basic Primfeed user. But since not being a store owner or content creator this is not really that much of an problem.

This was my take on Flickr vs Primfeed from some the social platforms we use in SL to promote our stuff on. Hope you liked reading this!
